Studio Automated Live Demo at Sports Innovation 2026: A Great Success
DÜSSELDORF, Germany — 05 March 2026 — Studio Automated, developer of advanced AI software for camera automation in live sports production, successfully demonstrated its AI-powered PTZ camera control solution using Panasonic PTZ cameras during football matches at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf, as part of Sports Innovation 2026. In a unique industry-first demonstration, Studio Automated delivered a high-end, broadcast-ready production using six PTZ cameras fully controlled by AI, proving that multi-angle coverage at professional standards can be achieved with minimal crew.
The live demo was designed to show one thing clearly: broadcast-grade, multi-angle coverage can be delivered — without compromising quality — by combining Panasonic’s professional PTZ hardware with Studio Automated’s autonomous AI control.

What was demonstrated (and why)
During the demonstration, Studio Automated produced a six-camera live broadcast using Panasonic PTZ cameras. All cameras were autonomously controlled by Studio Automated’s AI system, delivering six distinct angles in real time:
- Main camera view
- Close-up camera
- Left + right offside cameras
- Left + right high behind-goal cameras
To ensure a realistic, production-ready scenario, the setup included:
- A scripted match (controlled scenario for repeatable demo moments)
- Full hardware set-up by Studio Automated
- Live screen output on the big stage (direct proof of performance)
- A full live match broadcast workflow

Broadcast-ready integration
Each camera feed was delivered in real time via SDI directly to the host broadcaster’s production truck. This allowed the match director to integrate the automated feeds seamlessly into the live broadcast workflow — with outputs behaving exactly like traditional, manually operated cameras.
Product showcased
Studio Automated showcased its Virtual Director Pro solution during Sports Innovation 2026. Virtual Director Pro was demonstrated with two key features:
- PTZ Hybrid Control — a workflow that lets operators instantly take manual control or send cameras to preset positions whenever needed.
- Player tracking — AI-driven tracking that powers automated camera decisions.
Built together with Broadcast Solutions & partners
